N2  - On the 8th September 1970, two men walked up the hill of haventille in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad to meet a hostile, suspicious community which had recently erupted in violent protest against the system. This started a whole series of happenings in the community which resulted in the setting up of an organization called Servol. One of the more interesting things about the literature on Servol is to trace the image Servol had of itself as mirrored in its publication. The booklet gives a picture of a somewhat defensive and organism, which was not at all sure of what it was doing or where it was going but was prepared to die in the defence of its efforts
