520 _aAn evaluation of the health impact of Hurricane David on the population of Dominica. The purpose of the study was to define and to measure the relative importance of medical needs among other disaster related problems. A representative six (6) percent sample was surveyed eight months after the hurricane by household interviews. Results indicate health problems were relatively unimportant and were the main worry of only a small minority. Only 4.3 percent of people surveyed reported injuries due to the disaster.
