The Caribbean-Canada partnership workshop on human resource database development was held in Bridgetown, Barbados from June 18-19th.2003. It brought together Caribbean representatives and Canadian experts to address strategies for building effective, interoperable human resources databases in the region. Key discussions included shared challenges, data standardization, privacy, tech infrastructure and capacity building. The workshop emphasized collaboration and leveraging Canadian expertise to support regional efforts. It concluded with the creation of working groups and identification of priority areas to drive the development of a regional HR database framework, aiming to support evidence-based policy making and sustainable socio-economic growth in the Caribbean.
