Defines the term pesticides and examines their function and importance in Developing countries. Use patterns and effects on health and environment also form part of the discussion. It is noted that the United Nations and the United States have programs for information notifying other countries about regulatory decisions. Other information exchange programs pertain only to export notification and not regulatory notification. The operation of American Notification programs are discussed.
