A study to determine the scope and magnitude of the labour problem faced by banana farmers. Categorizes labour requirements on the farm and discusses difficulties posed by these groups. The survey found that all farmers experience difficulty in recruiting labour. Carholm, Rosalie, Calibishie, Laplaine, Wesley and Salisbury stood out as having the most severe problems. The study makes the following immediate recommendations (i) establishment of a labour exchange program within districts (ii) importation of labour.
