Six member countries of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) have experienced very high levels of migration directed to other Caribbean countries, the United States and Canada. Due in large part to restrictive immigration policies in North America, those who move from the Eastern Caribbean tend to be predominantly selected from the best educated in their home countries.
