Critical to the success of the Government's eco-tourism initiative is the preservation of the ecosystem and natural resources within each proposed national parks site so that they may continue to be enjoyed for all time. The Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica has recognised that if a move into this sector is to be sustainable in the long term, the country must quickly established an institutional capacity to manage the fragile resources base upon which future ecotourism growth will depend. This handbook is designed to serve as a practical working document and forms part of the management information system for the Dominica National Parks Service. |
