In 1997, Ms. Sonja Harris, with funding from the Commonwealth Fund for Technical Cooperation (CFTC) worked with affiliates of the Dominica National Council of Women (DNCW) over a three-month period - February to April to review current programmes and assess future needs and this resulted in the preparation of a five-year plan of action geared at curbing and preventing incidences of domestic violence. |
