The study examines the market for locally produced root crops. Findings notes that while average price per unit of root crop is cheaper than substitutes the lack of standardization in quality and unit of measurement were pushing customers towards substitutes. The lack of a standard unit of measurement also created fluctuations in price within the market itself. The need for a food production and marketing corperation is discussed. |
