Advocacy, training, curriculum development and materials development are the four components which were considered necessary in order to promote and establish HFLE in the Caribbean region aimed at preparing practitioners in three sectors to implement the mandate of the CARICOM Ministry of Education and Health to make HFLE a central part of their programmes that deal with the development of children, youth and adults.
