This report prepared by Graham Glenday and Gangadhar P. Shula undertakes a broad-based evaluation of the public expenditures in Belize to identify ways of enhancing the economic and social gains from public services. Firstly, it investigates the nature of the likely path of debt build up if no action is taken to control and reduce deficits, followed by a review of the expenditure patterns of the current and capital budgets. A final section summarized the major findings and recommendations contained within this report and a separate appendix entailed detailed listing of the recommended reforms concluded this report.
