Small states, characterized by their limited land area, population, and economic resources, face unique challenges in their development trajectories. The Commonwealth / World Bank Joint Task Force report of April 2000 proposed a "Small States Agenda" to address these challenges and promote sustainable and equitable development. The review examines the key issues raised in the report, explores the opportunities available to the states and discusses the importance of resilience building in their development strategies.
