This study examines the link between asymmetrical and development instability in children from a Caribbean village. Developmental instability, reflected in fluctuating asymmetry (FA) - small, random deviations from perfect symmetry - is associated with health, behavioral, and cognitive issues. Using a mixed-methods approach (including body measurements, observations, and surveys), the research found that children with higher FA levels are more likely to experience developmental delays, poor behavioral issues and academic performance. The study underscores the value of FA as an early stage of developmental problems and highlight the need for targeted interventions is disadvantaged communities
