This pilot study, conducted by Pearl Jephcott and Tony Lynes, investigates the challenges and opportunities facing young people in the West Indies. Through a mixed method approach, combining surveys, interviews, and focus groups, the researchers explored the experiences, aspirations and concerns of 15 - 25 years old across various islands. The study finding underscore the need in targeted polices and programs that address the unique needs of West Indian youths. By shedding light on the complexities of youth experiences in the West Indies, this pilot study provides a critical foundation for future research and intervention, ultimately aiming to support the empowerment and development of young people in the region.
