According to the report, although the number of cruise ship passengers shows an upward trend since 1984, Dominica's tourism share of the whole Caribbean is very small. This is because Dominica's tourism potential is not typical of the other Caribbean destinations. The report looked at the subject in three broad categories: (i) Tourism development product concept which delt with such topics as product strengths and weaknesses, demand potential, market trends and product development amoung others; (ii) Marketing concept to include marketing targets and strengths, marketing research and policy; (iii)Budget and organization.
